TSAC -Trove Strategic Advisory Committee

The Trove Strategic Advisory Committee (TSAC) is the principal body through which the National Library (NLA) seeks strategic input from Trove Partners.

The Committee is central to ensuring Trove meets the needs of both contributing organisations and the broader Australian community. Specifically, TSAC works with the National Library to:

  • Help shape strategic decision making
  • Represent the view of Trove Partners
  • Assist in evaluating and prioritising existing and new services

Nicole Hunt nominated in the recent TSAC election for a vacant position on TSAC to help provide a voice for public libraries via TSAC and to help contribute to the future plans for Trove and Inter-Library Loans/Resource sharing. Whilst the sole vacancy was filled by another candidate, under the Terms of Reference for TSAC, the NLA can appoint up to four individuals to complement the skills and expertise of the elected members, and ensure diverse, balanced and equitable representation on the Committee.

Last week National Library announced the appointments of Nicole Hunt from Townsville City Libraries and Lisa McIntosh from The University of Sydney, as well as the re-appointments of Anna Raunik from the State Library of Qld and Suzie Gately from Library and Archives Northern Territory on the Committee.

Nicole is excited that public libraries will have a voice in this very important Committee. She looks forward to sharing relevant information across the public library sector as well as getting feedback from Trove partners on relevant issues impacting public library services.
