Local Government Award
The Local Government Award is an annual award that recognises the Queensland Local Government that demonstrates outstanding community service through delivery of an individual program or service.
The winner is determined by the QPLA Executive Board based on how well the applicant’s submission addresses the criteria. The winner is announced annually at either the QPLA Conference or Professional Development Intensive.
The Award winner receives $1,000 for their library service.

Download and submit the LGA Award Submission Form 2020 below and return by COB Friday 15 January 2021.
QPLA acknowledges that 2020 was a challenging year for all Queensland Local Governments, and we aim to recognise the Queensland Local Government that most demonstrates outstanding community service through delivery of an individual program or service during these very trying times.
Queensland Local Governments are invited to nominate a project from the previous 12 months which aligns with the 2020 QPLA LEaD Professional Development event Chaos vs Complexity.
Entries must be signed off by the Library Manager and sent to the Secretary, QPLA via firstname.lastname@example.org by COB Friday 15 January 2021.
