Local Buy representatives Daniel O’Donnell and Dylan Slade were on hand to present the annual rebate cheque to QPLA at the QPLA 2023 Professional Development Intensive Wine and Cheese event held in Noosa, 16 October 2023.
The QPLA arrangement with Local Buy results in a quarter of the management fees earned through the Library Resources: Goods, Services & Associated Technologies LB284 to be returned to the Association to support delivery of events and subsidise attendance for Queensland public library staff at these events. The rebate for the 2022/23 financial year is $40,957.18 (incl GST) – this is an increase of around 10% from the previous year.
