Cunnamulla Library member celebrates turning 100

How many libraries get the pleasure of having a patron turn 100?! Cunnamulla Library does! Mrs. Bratton has been a member of the library forever!

She still reads up to 6 books per week and her memory is still spot on.

On Tuesday 2nd May, the actual day of her birthday, Cunnamulla Library had the pleasure of honouring Mrs. Bratton with a morning tea celebrating her centurion event.

Some of her 8 children, grandchildren and other family members attended, who had travelled from as far away as Mackay.

Along with the Mayor, who presented Mrs. Bratton a beautiful bouquet of natural flowers on behalf of the

Community. Other community members and long-time friends attended the momentous occasion.

Mrs. Bratton received very special cards containing photographs of, The King and Queen Consort, Prime Minister, Governors of both Queensland and Australia, the Queensland Premiere etc.

A very special “throne like” hot pink chair was borrowed from the Cunnamulla Hotel for the occasion.

Congratulations Mrs. Bratton what an amazing milestone!
