The Balonne Shire is very excited to announce that after a successful inaugural children’s writers festival, Storyfest South West will be back in St George on 1-3 September 2025📚🥳

Is there nothing Tammy from Cunnamulla Library cannot turn her hand to? The Glamour Photo Good Behaviour Initiative that has been taking place for the last 20 years is a highlight for the whole community, with many people coming in to the library to watch the process. Hair, makeup, donated gowns…lights, camera, action!! Head to Cunnamulla Library’s Facebook page to see for yourselves the happiness this initiative brings to all involved.

Tammy has also been instrumental for forming a very close link with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) and of course Australia Post. So much so that Cunnamulla was chosen as the destination for the 500 000th book donated by this partnership – Indigenous Literacy Foundation – Australia Post
