Local Buy’s Category Manager, Daniel O’Donnell and General Manager, Glen Duff were on hand to present the annual rebate cheque to QPLA at the QPLA LEaD Professional Development Welcome Reception held State Library of Queensland, Tuesday 14 October 2025.
The QPLA arrangement with Local Buy results in a quarter of the management fees earned through the Library Resources: Goods, Services & Associated Technologies LB338 to be returned to the Association to support delivery of events and subsidise attendance for Queensland public library staff at these events.
The rebate for the 2024/25 financial year is $32,542.15 (inc GST) – this is a decrease of 11% from the previous year and we encourage all councils to take advantage of the Local Buy arrangements in their procurement.
Libraries are encouraged to check their Council is benefiting from the current contract which covers collections, library equipment, technology and a broad range of library resources and services.
