The QPLA Local Government Award provides an annual recognition of a Queensland Council that has demonstrated outstanding community service through delivery of a program or service.
The winners of the 2022 LG Awards were announced at the QPLA 2022 Conference Gala Dinner, held in Bundaberg on Thursday 12 October 2022. There were four very worthy nominations from across Queensland libraries.
Western Downs Regional Libraries took out the Gold Award for the second consecutive year with their Shout Out! Youth Storytelling Competition.
Conference hosts, Bundaberg Regional Libraries took out the Silver Award with their Ability Diverse Program, with CityLibraries Townsville taking our the Bronze Award for Tropix Talks podcast series.
