Library Services Team Leader – Ipswich Libraries

Ipswich Libraries have a number of Library Services Team Leader vacancies to be based at various locations across the Ipswich community.

About the role

The Library Services Team Leader will provide support and supervision in the operations and functions of the Ipswich Libraries team in accordance with best practice and the objectives of the Libraries and Customer Services Branch and the needs of the Ipswich community.

The successful candidate will undertake key responsibilities in ensuring delivery of effective point-of-need customer service using both existing and emerging technologies, support operations and coordinate business-as-usual delivery of Library and Council Connect services to diverse audiences, and actively promote a range of Libraries Service programs to customers.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial proven experience in delivery of library/customer services
  • The ability to lead and develop a small team in the delivery of library and customer services and undertake operational and supervisory responsibilities
  • The ability to support and be a resilient, agile team member
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of information management, the ability to adapt to a range of existing and emerging technologies, and collaboration, negotiation and time management skills
  • Current Queensland ‘C’ class drivers’ licence
  • Working with Children Check – Issue of Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter (issued by the Queensland Government) or Exemption Card

 

A pre-employment medical is required for this role to undertake a range of manual handling tasks which may include setting up for events, moving trolleys, loading and unloading vehicles and driving a range of Council’s vehicles.

There are three (3) permanent full-time positions and one (1) fixed-term position to 8 April 2024, Level 4 with a salary commencing at $82,260 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
