Local Buy’s Category Manager, Daniel O’Donnell and General Manager, Mike Waterland were on hand to present the annual rebate cheque to QPLA at the QPLA AGM 2024 held State Library of Queensland, Thursday 3 October 2024.
The QPLA arrangement with Local Buy results in a quarter of the management fees earned through the Library Resources: Goods, Services & Associated Technologies LB284 to be returned to the Association to support delivery of events and subsidise attendance for Queensland public library staff at these events. The rebate for the 2023/24 financial year is $33,323.10 (ex GST) – this is a decrease of around 18% from the previous year.
Libraries are encouraged to check that your Council is benefiting from this process.
