In 2022 State Library celebrates 120 years of delivering and advocating for public library services for all Queenslanders. We partner with local governments in the delivery of more than 320 public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centers (IKCs) across the State.
During the past two years public libraries have continued to provide access to collections and services despite the ongoing impacts of the pandemic and series of natural disasters.
This workshop will present an opportunity to unpack new annual reporting data and trends, including decreases in visitation and increases in online access; and to discuss the changing role of libraries in communities and what the partnership with State Library looks like now and into the future.

Presented by State Library of Queensland – Louise Denoon, Executive Director Public Libraries and Engagement & Katie Edmiston, Manager Local Government Coordination.
