The 2025 cohort of the QPLA/SLQ Library Leaders Program has officially graduated, marking the end of an inspiring eight‑month journey of professional development, collaboration, and sector innovation. Delivered in partnership by the State Library of Queensland (SLQ) and the Queensland Public Libraries Association (QPLA), this flagship program supports emerging leaders to strengthen their skills, expand their networks, and deliver impactful local projects that benefit communities across the state.
A Week of Celebration and Reflection
Graduation week opened with the official wrap‑up of the program, where participants delivered their final presentations and reflected on the achievements and challenges of their leadership journey. The celebrations continued with a series of curated library tours, offering the cohort a firsthand look at some of Australia’s most innovative public library spaces:
