Nominations for Office Bearer with the QPLA Executive Board are now open.
The Queensland Public Libraries Association (QPLA) is inviting members to nominate for QPLA Executive Board Office Bearer positions.
Nominations are called for the following positions:
- Four Regional Representatives each with a 1 year term
South East Regional Representative
South West Regional Representative
Central Regional Representative
North Regional Representative.

These positions require keen individuals who are committed to QPLA’s objectives in shaping the future of public libraries in Queensland. Duties include liaising with regional library staff, participating in decision-making, and marketing the value of libraries through the roles within Queensland’s peak representative body.
These positions are voluntary and the term for each position is from 1 July until 30 June for either one or two years as above.
The Board meets on a monthly basis, with three to four of these being face-to-face meetings and the remainder via teleconference.
The member library representatives that are nominating for the Executive Board position must be the recognised manager of the public library service or his/her delegate.
